Who we are

HandymanMap.com is a directory that helps homeowners find independent handymen and helps businesses share their services. Questions about this policy can be sent through our contact form.

Information we collect

  • Business listings: business names, contact details, service areas, services, descriptions, photos, and credentials submitted by a business or its representative.
  • Reviews and claims: information you provide when leaving a review or requesting ownership of a listing.
  • Contact messages: your name, reply email address, subject, and message when you use our contact form.
  • Technical information: basic request, browser, and security information needed to operate and protect the site.
  • Admin accounts: administrator sign-in information is handled by Clerk and is used only to protect the private admin area.

How we use information

We use information to operate the directory, show business profiles, moderate listings and reviews, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law.

When information is shared

Business profile information is public. We use service providers that help us run the site, including Replit for hosting and database services, Clerk for administrator authentication, Resend for contact-form email delivery, and OpenStreetMap services for map tiles. We do not sell personal information.

Choices and requests

You can ask us to correct or remove information you submitted through our contact form. Businesses can also request corrections to their public listing.

Children and changes

HandymanMap is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy from time to time and will post the new version on this page.
