Terms of Service

The basic rules for using HandymanMap as a homeowner, business owner, or visitor.

Last updated September 8, 2026

Using HandymanMap

By using HandymanMap, you agree to these terms. HandymanMap helps people find and contact independent businesses directly. We are not a handyman, contractor, employer, agent, or party to any agreement between a homeowner and a business.

Listings and business information

Businesses are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information they submit. A listing, trust badge, rating, or review is not a guarantee or endorsement of a business’s work, licensing, insurance, pricing, availability, or safety. Homeowners should independently verify the details that matter to their project.

Direct contact and reviews

You are responsible for your conversations, agreements, payments, and decisions with a business. Reviews must be honest, relevant, and based on a real experience. Do not submit fake reviews, private information about another person, threats, or unlawful content.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the site for fraud, harassment, spam, scraping, or illegal activity.
  • Do not impersonate a business or submit a claim you cannot support.
  • Do not interfere with the site, bypass security, or attempt to access private admin features.
  • Do not upload content that infringes another person’s rights or contains malicious code.

Content and moderation

You keep ownership of the content you submit, but give HandymanMap permission to display and use it to operate and promote the directory. We may edit, remove, or decline content and may suspend access when needed to protect the service or its users.

Disclaimers and limits

HandymanMap is provided as-is and as available. We do not guarantee that listings are complete, accurate, available, or suitable for a particular project, and we do not guarantee that a business will respond or perform work. To the fullest extent allowed by law, HandymanMap is not responsible for losses arising from interactions, agreements, work, or payments between users and businesses.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. Questions can be sent through our contact form.
